On improvisation

I've written some articles for Arts Professional Magazine on applied improvisation. The first was written with Professor Edmund Harriss, giving an account of our project with honours maths students at Arkansas University. The second was written with Julia Pöhlmann, taking away insights from her work within the prison sector.

I share thoughts in progress on the state of the art, and state of my art, at the tumblr Vessels for Improvisation. It contains a mixture of curated material and original thoughts.

My thoughts on improvisation have been used as material for two theses - for Ava Obiston for her Masters in Environmental Science, and for Jeppe Graugaard's PhD in innovation in Sustainable Consumption. An extended and partly edited cut of the conversation between Jeppe and I can be read here.
